In Tibet Tara is called 'Rje btsun sgrol ma', who is a female Bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism while she appears as a female Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism where she is known as the "Mother of Liberation", representing the virtues of success in work and achievements.
